Role Overview

The DevOps Engineer is responsible for the continuous development and operation of Java/Spring Boot APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and AWS-based infrastructure, ensuring stable and secure data‑driven services. The role also supports ETL- and database‑related tasks, contributes to the improvement of Self‑Service Portals, and handles monitoring, troubleshooting, and system maintenance. Success in this position requires strong API and cloud knowledge, a proactive working style, and careful handling of complex data environments.

Responsibilities

Further development & operation of the Java/Spring Boot API,
CI/CD pipelines (Concourse), deployments, Docker,
maintenance of AWS infrastructure (Cognito, API Gateway, RDS),
support of Development in ETL/DB-related tasks,
support and further development of Self-Service Portals (SSP) (web frontend for test data),
monitoring, error analysis, maintenance.

Requirements

good API knowledge (Java, Spring Boot),
good basic cloud knowledge (AWS Services above),
understanding of CI/CD & deployment pipelines,
basic SQL knowledge,
proactive & independent working style,
particularly careful handling of data due to the high project complexity,
high comprehension and creativity for proactive and pragmatic problem-solving in
the context of data products,
high understanding of data complexity
